Warren Rosenstein and Marlon Saunders
will appear on Marc Copeland's Jazz Influences radio program. In the New
York area, Jazz Influences airs on WFDU 89.1 FM from 1-3 pm EST. For our
fans around the globe, you can also listen live online at

Poet's Walk, and talking about the making of the new project.
April 2006
Jazzhole's fifth studio recording, Poet's Walk, will be released in the UK
on Soul Brother Records on April 23, 2006. This record features guest
keyboardist David Sancious (Stanley Clarke, Bruce Springsteen, Sting),
saxophonist David Binney, vocalist and Yemen-native Michal Cohen (Meredith
Monk, Uri Caine), and percussion star Daniel Sadownick (Me'Shell
Ndegeocello, Maxwell, Screaming Headless Torsos). The US release is slated
for July 11th.
July 2005
Jazzhole founding member and lead vocalist Marlon Saunders will be releasing
his highly-anticipated new project, A Groove So Deep: The Live Sessions This
recording will be in stores this summer. Don't forget to catch Marlon's NYC
CD RELEASE PARTY FOR A GROOVE SO DEEP: THE LIVE SESSIONS, July 26 at Joe's
Pub ...Experience Marlon and his band, Mood Control, live in concert as they
celebrate the release of their new recording. Tickets are already on sale!
The release party for Enter My Mind sold out, and folks were complaining
that they couldn't get in, so purchase yours now.
August 2005
Jazzhole is putting the finishing touches on their as yet untitled new
recording. The mixes are just about finished, and the cd should be available
in the early fall. The new release will feature guest musicians David
Sancious on keyboards, Daniel Sadownick on percussion, Dave Binney on
saxophone, and guest vocalist Michal Cohen. Rounding out the lineup will be
Jazzhole regulars Mark Robohm on drums, David Inniss on bass, Peter Mark on
percussion, John Pondel on guitar and Marlon Saunders performing vocals.
November 2003
Jazzhole lead singer Marlon Saunders will be performing at
the Jazz Cafe, in London, with N'Dambi, on November 25th & 26th.
June 2003
Jazzhole will be featured on the "Organic Soul" series, "Organic Soul 3",
released by Soul Brother Records, in the United Kingdom. This critically
acclaimed series has featured the work of artists such as N'Dambi,
Laurnea, Ledisi, Karen Bernod, and others.
March 25, 2003
Jazzhole founding member and lead singer Marlon Saunders released his
first solo recording, "Enter My Mind". Sanda St. Victor had this to say
about Marlon: "From the first sound of the chimes and percussion, to the
first sound of a velvety voice inviting us to Enter His Mind, and of
course when that beat drops, I was hooked! Marlon takes us on a sensual
journey chock full of beautifully vivid lyrics, wonderfully melodic
imagery, and classically soulful sounds…."

Jazzhole Music in a Video Game
The soundtrack to Activision’s forthcoming
BMX game, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2, has been unveiled.
Featuring a mixture of old-school rap, punk,
funk, rock, and electronica, the game will include Jazzhole's
"Forward Motion."

Jazzhole finishes their fourth studio
recording, Circle of the Sun. Jazzhole mixes up their acid
jazz roots with chillout, bossa and some retro soul. The original
members and vocalists are featured, as well as a newcomer: from
Cameroon, Kaďssa Doumbč, singing a breathtaking version of
"Superstar" in her native Duala. Naren Budhakar joins the
lineup, playing tabla on much of the record, and Michelle Lewis returns,
with a chilled-out version of "Enjoy the Silence."
This recording features guest musicians,
Daniel Sadownick (percussion), Peter Mark (percussion), Dave Binney
(saxaphone), Mark Robohm (drums), David Inniss (bass), and Gary Pozner
(keyboards).

Jazzhole vocalist Marlon Saunders
gave an stunning performance at Izzy Bar (NYC), debuting his new backing
band, "Mood Control". Fans in the crowded room were treated to Marlon
performing his solo material, which covered a broad spectrum of neo
soul and roots music. Mood Control members included Carl Carter on bass,
Steve William on drums, and Daniel Sadownick on percussiom.
Be on the lookout for a solo release from
Marlon in the spring.
October 18th, 2002
Former Jazzhole rapper Ahmed
Best rocked Shine (NYC), performing material he penned since his
recent move to Los Angeles. Ahmed has been busy since his Jazzhole days,
starring in "Stomp", and acting in several films.
Ahmed's music reflects his diverse taste,
including hip hop, rock and R&B. Jazzhole co-founder and guitarist
John Pondel sat in at the show.

Jazzhole guitarist John Pondel will be performing with his group,
"Kombo" at The Cutting Room in NYC. Showtimes are 8 & 10 pm,
opening act, Roxanne Beck, will perform at 7:00.

"Cookin' Out" will be released on Verve records, featuring
Jazzhole guitarist John Pondel and collaborator Ron Pedley's. This is the
second release from John's instrumental project, "Kombo".

There will be a release party for the Nicky Siano remix of
"Pillow Talk" at Twelve West
beginning at 8:00 PM. Twelve West is located, ironically, at 12 West 21st
street, and has been dubbed by New York Magazine as "the best dance
party in New York".

NYC. The band will be giving there first New York performance in over two
years, at 8:00 pm, performing all new music from their just-released CD
"Blackburst". Please purchase tickets in advance, as S.O.B.'s is a moderate sized venue, and this show is likely to sell out.
